NOLA Brewing Tap Room
The Worldwide Bar Tour of New Orleans visits the Irish Channel!
A special musical guest will perform after the post-screening Q&A with filmmakers.
Laundry Day —a dark comedy by/of/about NOLA is 100% indigenous feature about the day four New Orleans hustlers— a desperate musician, a homeless street performer, a hapless drug dealer, and a corrupt bartender— end up coming to blows in a 24-hour dive bar/laundromat/nightclub. Based on a true story.
We bring this indigenous feature film to the many neighborhoods of New Orleans to raise the profile of local independent filmmaking. LAUNDRY DAY was made by a collaboration of film students & graduates from UNO, Dillard, Tulane, and Loyola, and by focusing on the absurdities (both tragic and comic) of daily life for musicians, service industry, artists, etc here, hopes to provide a template for New Orleans filmmakers from all walks of life.
