Building by Boiling: A crawfish cook-off benefiting People's Housing+!

Satsuma Real Estate is proud to host its annual fundraiser “Building by Boiling”. This crawfish cook-off will benefitPeople’s Housing+, a New Orleans-based 501(c)3 non-profit that provides pathways to homeownership for low-and-moderate income New Orleanians.

WHEN: Saturday, March 29th from 11am to 4pm

WHERE: NOLA Brewing, 3001 Tchoupitoulas St.

20 teams will be competing for the best crawfish boil and to win the title of Building by Boiling 2025 Fan Favorite!

Each ticket will include all the crawfish you can eat. This is a family friendly event- KIDS 10 AND UNDER ARE FREE. The event will sell out, so purchase your tickets now! The event takes place from 11am-4pm, with the first boil coming out at 11:00am. Enjoy delicious food, craft beer, live music, a prize draw live auction, and special surprises for the kids.

The Bluegrass Pickin' Party is an open acoustic bluegrass jam.  Bring your guitar, banjo, mandolin, fiddle, bass, dobro, harmonica, or singing voice to join the jam circle. Beginners welcome to come and learn traditional bluegrass music. Intermediate and advanced players welcome as well.   This weekly jam is also open to anyone and everyone who'd like to come listen and enjoy the music.

The LPO Happy Hour series is designed as a more casual experience for music lovers. Pairing local venues with different music allows the LPO to fully engage and serve the community. The LPO invites you to come hang out and enjoy music and a drink in a relaxed atmosphere. Please note that because of the nature of these concerts, seating is not always guaranteed or available. Should have you have accessible needs, please contact the Patron Services office to review your options.

Monthly on every second Wednesday

If comedy is your thing, then join Jorge Velazquez of Craft Comedy on the 2nd Wednesday of every month to check out some funny local talent! The vibes begin at 6:30pm and the show starts at 7pm.

You get a double whammy on this night because not only do you get to laugh, but you get cheap eats too! It just so happens that Craft Comedy night is also on Wing Wednesdays and we got $0.50 wings all day long! Som come on in and fill your belly up with wings and laughs!
