King Cake & Craft Beer Pairing: A Sweet & Savory Mardi Gras Experience
Tuesday January 27th
Join us for a one-of-a-kind Mardi Gras tradition that brings together King Cake, craft beer, and pizza in a guided tasting experience you won’t find anywhere else.
For several years, we’ve paired the city’s most iconic Mardi Gras dessert with our distinctly New Orleans–brewed beers. This year, we’re once again expanding the experience with a savory opening round of pizza designed to set the stage for the sweet pairings that follow.
What’s Included
Four Distinct King Cakes Sourced from some of the most respected bakeries in New Orleans, each King Cake showcases a unique style and flavor—thoughtfully paired with one of our beers to highlight both.
Four Handcrafted Beers Brewed on-site at NOLA Brewing, the city’s original craft brewery. Our beers have been part of New Orleans’ drinking culture for over 16 years, and each selection is chosen specifically to complement its King Cake pairing.
Savory Pizza Pairing Your tasting begins with two different pizzas, served as half-slices of each. These savory bites are designed to balance the experience before moving into the sweeter King Cake pairings.
Your Hosts
Matt Haines – Author of The Big Book of King Cake Matt will guide you through the rich history, traditions, and stories behind King Cake, sharing insights you won’t get anywhere else.
